Welcome to the Care Council for Wales website

The Care Council promotes high standards for social care workers to improve safeguards for users of social care services.  Our aim is to ensure that the 150,000 children and adults who are receiving social care services at any one time in Wales can rely on a workforce that is properly trained, appropriately qualified and effectively regulated.

Your Voice in the Care Council

The Care Council for Wales held an event for service users and carers, and representative organisations on Tuesday 5 February 2008 in Wrexham.

The event offered unique opportunities for open debate and discussion with service users, carers and representative organisations. There was an opportunity to explore the work of the Care Council and to address how we can continue to ensure service users and carers influence all areas of our work.

A full account of the event will be posted here in due course. For general enquiries about the Your Voice in the Care Council, please contact Laura Evans on 029 2078 0666

The Care Council is committed to making sure that service users and carers are at the heart of its agenda.

Visit our new Participation pages to see how you can get involved.
