Incentives for employers
In the current economic climate the care sector therefore remains an important and buoyant employment area and there are numerous incentives to employers to look at their recruitment strategies as the recession impacts on other sectors.
For example there is a potential for the need for services to increase as individuals face difficulties that affect their daily lives.
We are working with employers, the Welsh Assembly Government, Jobcentre Plus and Careers Wales to ensure that social care remains high on the agenda and that employers within the sector are aware of initiatives that will assist them to ensure that they recruit successfully.
The Workforce Action Plan for Fulfilled Lives Supportive Communities sets out the steps that will be taken to ensure that the social care workforce is safe, sufficient and skilled for the needs of the future.
