Review of the Funding of Social Work Education in Wales
Currently, the funding of social work education and training in Wales comes from a range of sources, including the Care Council, the Welsh Assembly Government, local government and the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales.
The Care Council has commissioned a review of the sources and amount of this funding to identify whether they result in the social work workforce needed now and in the future. This has involved discussions with employers, training managers, policy officials and higher education staff.
