Employers - public, private and voluntary

Our vision, like that of employers, is to ensure that we raise standards across the sector to make sure we have a workforce that is fit to meet the needs of those who use services.

Here you will find information about employers' responsibilities in registering the social care workforce, and information which will lead you to details about training, new developments and the conduct process.

At the Care Council, we provide employers with information about qualifications, making it clear what qualifications individuals need for different jobs. There is also guidance and information about effective and appropriate induction processes into the sector.

Central to all our work are the Codes of Practice for Social Care Workers and Employers. From here you will find information about Confidence in Care, our campaign to raise awareness of the Code of Practice, and copies of the Codes as well as promotional materials and information about the campaign and how you can use these materials to promote the Code among your workers.

We also share with employers information about good practice, including good practice in recruitment and retention, and workforce strategies, looking at standards, status, levels of qualification and recruiting workers across the sector.

We hope you can find what you want. Try using the buttons on the left to find information which is particularly relevant to you.

The latest edition of the With Care e-bulletin for social care employers is now available.
