New Practice Guidance for Early Years Managers
A new publication, First Year as a Manager: Practice Guidance, has been launched by the Care Council.
It aims to help develop and enhance the knowledge and skills of newly appointed early years managers.
New online services for applicants, registrants and employers
The Care Council has launched new online services for those currently registered, those applying for registration and social care employers. The services are available by choosing the MyCareCouncil option on this website. In trials, users have said the new system is 'extremely useful' and 'very accessible; easy-to-use and very secure'.
First profile of adult care home managers published
The profile is based on data about adult care home managers that have been required to register since October 2011.
Profile of residential child care managers and workers in Wales
This is the third profile of its kind and is based on data from the Register during June this year. It also reflects changes in this part of the workforce between July 2011 and June 2012.
Governance framework for the health and social care support worker roles
The Care Council worked jointly with the National Leadership and Innovation Agency for Healthcare (NLIAH) to develop a governance framework for the health and social care support worker roles (HSCSW).
