This conference will be of particular interest to Foster Carers, Adoptive Parents, Fostering and Adoption Teams, Child Care Teams, Leaving Care Teams and those working in Education, Health and Legal Professions. It will include key lectures by Professor Howe, one of the major influences in the UK on Attachment Theory and its impact on child development.

Promoting best practice in employee well-being - Half Day Seminar 18 November 2011

A range of advice and guidance about promoting well-being at work is now available to employers and many free to access resources are available. This course has been designed to meet the needs of people who manage, supervise or support staff and aims is to translate current advice and guidance about employee well-being into practical actions that managers and supervisors can take to improve the workplace and the support offered to staff.

Qualification Framework Review 16 November 2011

The Qualification Framework for Social Care is being reviewed this financial year. The framework was initially developed in 2001 and its scope was to provide a document stating the qualifications that are required or recommended for the social care and social work workforces. This event has been organised as part of the consultation to review the framework.

Families Matter - A conference aimed at professionals and parents with learning disabilities 9 November 2011
