For newly qualified child care social workers, or those lacking experience, on the process of care planning through care proceedings.

By the end of the workshop participants will have:

• A thorough understanding of the statute and case law relating to the threshold criteria
• An ability to apply the law to the facts of a case, in order to prepare both written and oral evidence in care proceedings
• Had an opportunity, through a court skills exercise, to practise being cross examined on thresholds in a particular case
