VQ (Vocational Qualifications) Day 2010
23 June 2010
– 23 June 2010
Location: Cardiff
The Care Council is supporting VQ (Vocational Qualifications) Day 2010 by holding an event in Cardiff and would like you to join our celebrations.
VQ Day is a celebration of the millions of people who achieve vocational success every year, and of the individuals and organisations that make this possible. Last year 3.6 million vocational qualifications were awarded in the UK, and millions more will achieve similar success this year. We hope that you can join the celebrations with us. The Social Care Qualification Framework in Wales consists predominantly of vocational qualifications. This is particularly important for a sector who work with vulnerable individuals who need workers with the right skills, knowledge and values.
Where is the VQ celebration happening?
- In St David’s Shopping Centre, Lower Mall in Cardiff town centre.
- At 9.30am until the centre closes at 8.00 pm.
We will be right in the middle of the crossroads of the busiest thoroughfare in the Centre - close to the link from St David’s to St David’s 2 - you won’t be able to miss us!
We will be giving advice on how you can gain vocational qualifications in Social Care and Social Work and how you can take the first step to enhancing your skills and improving your job prospects. Visitors will be able to try our interactive quiz to see if they are suited to social care work. We will also be showing our latest films and short digital stories giving an insight to the different jobs in social care.
It will be an opportunity to ask those questions you always wanted to about social care work - So come along and join us- we’d love to see you!
