Chief Executive Rhian Huws Williams said: "We all look forward to working with Arwel on this next exciting phase of the Care Council’s development. Much has already been achieved in the organisation’s first eight years under the leadership of outgoing Chair Mutale Merrill.
The reins now pass to Arwel at a time when the extension of mandatory registration to other social care groups is on the horizon, as well as other promising developments. His valuable experience in other fields and his strong belief in the social care sector, will be of immense benefit to the Care Council as it faces fresh challenges and opportunities."
