Just some of the feedback from the first two Social Care Accolades Best Practice Sharing Events – ‘Practice Worth Sharing’. The theme for the first two events was Service Users and Carers Involvement - the first in October focusing on working with Children, followed in November by those working with Adults.
All events received hugely positive messages from delegates and presenters. Feedback revealed that attendees found both days very useful to reflect and network, as well as celebrate achievements. Learning more about the services/projects that won Accolades proved very informative and useful. Attendees thoroughly enjoyed hearing about projects through presentations from each winning project in the morning and discovering what works well in other areas, including how creative staff, services users and carers can be. The afternoon Workshops gave an opportunity to delve into more detail and interact with each winning team. The Practice Worth Sharing Events provide an excellent opportunity to keep up to date with new initiatives, meet old friends and generate a lot of thoughts. All attendees felt they left with plenty to share with colleagues.

The next series of events will take place shortly after the announcement of the winners of the 2011 Social Care Accolades, at the ceremony on June 23rd 2011, and will once again provide an opportunity to learn about successful and effective projects in Wales.
