Over the next few pages you will find information about our programmes of work for the forthcoming year, along with information about documents such as our Business Plan 2011-12, our Remit Letter 2011-12, and our Annual Accounts and Strategic Plan.
Our programmes of work: 2011-2012
The Care Council's Business Plan 2011-2012 has been located within the policy context set out in 'Sustainable Social Services for Wales: A Framework for Action'. The Care Council has a key role to play alongside other partners in making sure that the vision is realised. There is an expectation that the Care Council, as the professional regulator, will build on the foundation already in place to achieve a confident and competent workforce, specifically focusing on:
- Professional development of social work
- Professional development of social care managers
- Community based services development
- Professional development of the children, young people and early years workforce
These will all involve building on work already started by the Care Council to achieve improvement in each of these areas.
