This is a full update of the original, which was first published in 1997, and sets the context for social care for adults in Wales post-devolution.
Using case studies, case law and examples of the policy and legal issues facing practitioners on a daily basis, the authors, Aled Griffiths and Dr Gwyneth Roberts, set tasks and offer a useful information analysis of current practice and policy issues.
The work can be useful as a reference tool, a study guide or a training resource. Some may find it useful as part of a study group and it will certainly prove useful to those following a course of study in the field, whether prior to qualification or as part of a Continuing Professional Programme.
