Social work as a career
How to Apply for Social Work Training
Applications for entry to degree programmes can be made through UCAS. Late applications may be made directly to the Social Work programme with the agreement of the specific university.
Some applicants will be seeking employer support for their training. In such situations, they will also need to satisfy the employers’ internal selection procedure after which their applications will be forwarded to the Social Work Programme for consideration.
Social Work Programmes may use a range of selection methods but are required to ensure that all successful applicants have had an individual interview. There are social work training programmes throughout Wales and there is a commitment to flexible learning and recognising prior experience and practice.
There are eight programmes delivering the degree in social work.
