Commissioning, Procurement and Contracting
The NOS for Commissioning, Procurement and Contracting were approved in Wales and at UK level in June 2008. They can now be used for Human Resources and organisational development purposes – such as to inform job descriptions, person specifications, training needs analysis (individual, team or organisational), appraisal and workforce planning and development.
The NOS are also being used to develop learning and qualifications in 2009, including NVQs. There will also be opportunities to develop units for the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF), which will enable the workforce to achieve credit for their learning over time, building towards a qualification at the pace which suits them.
