Sensory Services
The NOS for Sensory Services were approved in Wales and at UK level in November 2008. They can now be used for Human Resources and organisational development purposes – such as to inform job descriptions, person specifications, training needs analysis (individual, team or organisational), appraisal and workforce planning and development.
The NOS will also be used to develop learning and qualifications in 2009, following the work now underway to develop a Wales Qualification Action Plan for Sensory Services. There will be opportunities to develop units for the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF), which will enable the workforce to achieve credit for their learning over time, building towards a qualification at the pace which suits them.
