QCF Level 1 Award Introduction to Health and Social Care (adults and children and young people), early years and childcare (Wales and Northern Ireland)

Overview

The level 1 award in Introduction to Health and Social Care (adults and children and young people), early years and childcare aims to give learners a broad introduction to the scope of the sector, career opportunities as well as some understanding of essential principles and values and working safely

The award is for use in Wales and Northern Ireland and learners will be able to register from January 2011

The qualification will not confer occupational competence but provides progress to

Level 1 Certificate in Introduction to Health and Social Care (adults and children and young people), early years and childcare

or

Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (adults)

or

Level 2 Diploma Children’s Care, Learning and Development
