Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People's Advanced Practice) Wales and Northern Ireland (QCF)

Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) Wales and Northern Ireland (QCF)

Social Work Degree

NVQ 3 Health and Social Care (Children and Young People’s Pathway)

Residential child care workers below manager level will not be able to practice in Wales unless the required qualification is held, workers can however register to practice if the Care Council for Wales Social Care Induction Framework has been completed within 6 months of taking up post. In this case workers must achieve one of the required qualifications within three years of being appointed to work in child care.
