Regulation of Training
The Care Council for Wales is responsible for the regulation of training for social workers at both Qualifying and Post-Qualifying level.
The Care Council operates a quality assurance system for the following awards:
- Social Work Degree
- Post Qualifying courses in Social Work
As part of the regulation of training, the Care Council for Wales uses the following standards for the Social Work Degree which were produced after consultation in 2005:
Standards for the involvement of service users and carers
Standards for practice learning for the degree in social work
