Health and Social Care and Leadership and Management of Care Service
The Health and Social Care (HSC) and Leadership and Management of Care Services (LMCS) National Occupational Standards (NOS) have been developed specifically for those working in leading and health and social care services across the UK.
For ease of use, the standards within these suites have been grouped into functional areas with links to examples of how they can be used as an effective tool for individuals, managers and organisations.
The HSC NOS are jointly owned by Skills for Care and Development (Care Council for Wales; Northern Ireland Social Care Council; Skills for Care (England); Scottish Social Services) and Skills for Health.
The LMCS NOS are jointly owned by Skills for Care and Development.
The Care Council has developed a Guide to National Occupational Standards for social care, early years and childcare that provides detailed advice and guidance on their use.
