Level 3 - Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People)

The Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (HSC) (Children and Young People) Wales and Northern Ireland confers occupational competence to work within specified children and young people's health and social care roles including deputy manager, residential childcare worker, support worker, senior support worker, service co-ordinator, occupational therapy assistant, foster carer and senior day services officer.

Diploma Structure

The structure of the Diploma is set out in the Qualification Specification. Learners must achieve a minimum of 58 credits to gain the Level 3 Diploma in HSC (CYP). To do this they must achieve 40 credits from the mandatory units in Group A and a minimum of 18 credits from the optional units in Group B.
