Level 5 - Diploma in Leadership for Children's Care Learning and Development Services (Management)

The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children’s Care, Learning and Development Services (Management) Wales and Northern Ireland is one of the replacement qualifications for NVQ level 4 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development.

QCF level 5 is equivalent to NQF (NVQ) level 4. This qualification is therefore not set at a higher level than the NVQ being replaced. There will be no expectation for learners holding their NVQ level 4 qualification to complete any additional units or top ups to meet regulatory or registration requirements.

It will confer occupational competence to work in a management role.

Diploma Structure

Learners must achieve a minimum of 90 credits to achieve this qualification. These are made up of 64 credits from Mandatory Group A, a minimum of 12 credits from Optional Group B and the remaining 14 credits to be taken from Optional Groups B and C.
