Hearing Decisions - Changes to the Register

This page contains decisions made in Care Council for Wales Hearings that affect a registrant’s registration status.

The Social Care Register can also be checked to ascertain whether a person is registered with the Care Council.

The outcomes of Conduct hearings can be found on the website within seven days of the hearing.

Registered with Conditions

A registrant may have had conditions placed on his/her registration by a Care Council for Wales Registration Committee. The Register will not show whether a condition has been placed on a registrant’s registration. If you are an employer considering employing a registrant, and you wish to check whether a condition(s) has been imposed, please ask the applicant for a copy of their registration certificate – this will contain any condition(s) imposed on the applicant’s registration. If, following this, you require additional information about the conditions, please contact the Registrar on 029 2078 0656.

Admonishments, Suspension Orders and Removal Orders

The past hearings table contains decisions made in Care Council for Wales Conduct Committee and Health Committee Hearings about registrants against whom allegations of misconduct have been brought.

Interim Suspension Orders

These are Orders that suspend a registrant from the Register whilst investigations are being undertaken into allegations of misconduct that have not yet been found proven.

These Orders are imposed by a Preliminary Proceedings Committee.

The past hearings table lists those registrants who currently are the subject of an Interim Suspension Order (without prejudice).
