Conduct Committees and Health Committees
Conduct Committee and Health Committee hearings are the final stage of our procedures.
The Conduct Committee and Health Committee decide:
- whether the registrant has committed misconduct
- if misconduct has been committed
- what sanction should be imposed
The Health Committee would also consider medical evidence to establish if the alleged misconduct was as a result of or due to the mental or physical health of the registrant.
Conduct Committee hearings are normally held in public, which means that members of the public, the press and/or media are allowed to attend the hearing.
Health Committee hearings are held in private due to any medical evidence about the registrant that may be discussed.
The procedure at a Health Committee hearing is the same as that for a Conduct Committee hearing.
