Service users, carers and the public

Here you'll find information about the Care Council and what we do. Our role, as the social care workforce regulator is to promote and secure high standards across the social services and social care workforce to ensure they deliver the best possible services.

Our aim is to raise standards throughout the social care sector and to ensure the right type of people are working and recruited into the workforce. To do this, we're looking at what the needs are for the future, and in particular what type of workforce is needed to meet the demands of an ageing population in Wales.

In this section you'll find information about how you can have an input into our work, either through consultations, or by giving feedback about what we do, or information about how to attend one of our Council meetings. You can also view our 'Service User and Carer Participation Strategy' which sets out how service users and carers can get involved in our work.

Also here, you'll find information about our Confidence in Care campaign to raise awareness of the Code of Practice for Social Care Workers. The Codes are vitally important to anyone who uses social care services, their carers, or anyone who knows someone receiving care, as it sets out the standards of behaviour you can expect from your social worker or social care worker.
