Gofal Cymdeithasol mewn Partneriaeth Social Care in Partnership
Social Care in Partnership (SCiP) promotes a collaborative approach to business development, education and training within the Social Care Sector in Wales.
SCiP was originally set up by the then Welsh Assembly Government in 2002 and is now funded by the Care Council for Wales.
SCiP has a proven history of prioritising the needs of the care sector though a system of regional partnerships.
SCiP addresses the challenges of workforce recruitment, and retention and development of staff. This is done at a regional level by facilitating partnerships between organisations ranging from care sector employers, to further education colleges, training providers and Job Centre Plus.
SCiP is guided by voluntary Strategic Steering Groups composed of key figures from the sector and salaried regional co-ordinators. Together they strive to maintain strong links between partners, to feed into consultations and to influence strategic policy making across Wales.
SCiP help to implement national initiatives at a regional level. Their structure of concerted regional platforms facilitates the exploration and promotion of key workforce issues and acts as a consultative reference point for the Welsh Government and Central Government.
