New online services for applicants, registrants and employers
The Care Council has launched new online services for those currently registered, those applying for registration and social care employers. The services are available by choosing the MyCareCouncil option on this website. In trials, users have said the new system is ‘extremely useful and very accessible’, ‘easy-to-use and very secure’.

Care Council welcomes first of new breed of social worker training courses in Wales
The Care Council has welcomed the launch of the first approved training course developed as part of a new national initiative to strengthen the professionalism of social workers in Wales.
The new Graduate Certificate in Consolidation of Social Work Practice has been developed by a group of 12 local authorities from south west, mid and north Wales, known as Porth Agored. It’s the first such course to be approved by the Care Council for Wales, as part of its new framework for the continuing professional development of social workers at different stages of their careers, known as CPEL.
