Social Care Wales will come into being on 3 April 2017. We will build on the work of the Care Council and Social Services Improvement agency through workforce development and regulation; service improvement and co-ordination of research.  

We will be an authoritative voice on social care; one that is empowered to provide strategic leadership and work collaboratively in Wales to drive improvement across the sector and facilitate world-class practice based on evidence, insight and data.

Following a restructure and refocus of priorities to deliver our new remit to enhance our strategic leadership role, the following pivotal leadership positions have become available.
