Service user and carer participation strategy
Our Service User and Carer Participation Strategy was published in 2007. It is available in different formats including Easy Read and Audio.
The Strategy provides the vision, framework and priorities for service user and carer participation over a 5 year period. We want to ensure that those who use social care services influence all areas of our work including how we regulate social care workers and the training and development of standards for the social care workforce.
The strategy sets out principles and standards for how we enable service users and carers to participate in our work and ensure that we do so in the best way possible.
The development of the strategy was informed by extensive consultation with service users and carers across Wales and the development process steered throughout by our Service User and Carer Reference Group.
